Event Hours and Special Activities
Christmas by Candlelight is open each scheduled evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On select nights, the first 50 children to arrive will receive a complimentary surprise, while supplies last. For updates about these fun giveaways and to stay informed about additional surprises throughout the season, please follow us on Facebook.
Opening Night Festivities
November 29th: Celebrate opening night with us by watching for our group at the Downtown Marion, Inc. Lighted Truck Parade. Afterwards, head to the Marion County Fairgrounds to enjoy a ride around the twinkling lights and kick off your holiday season in style.
Enjoy the Christmas Lights and Santa.
November 30th: Experience our beautiful Christmas light display from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Santa will be on site, ready to visit and available for holiday photos with families and children.
Community Toy Drive: Stuff the Truck
December 7th: Join us for the third annual “Stuff the Truck” toy drive. Receive free entry with a new toy donation. Our local first responders will be present to greet visitors and take photographs. Santa will return, and for one night only, the Grinch will make an appearance—don’t miss the fun and mischief he brings throughout the evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All toy donations will go to local fire and law enforcement agencies, Marion County Sheriff's Office, Marion, OH, to distribute to children in need within our community.
Magical Trolley Car Rides
December 12th & 13th: Enjoy trolley car rides generously sponsored by Hord Family Farms. Take a magical ride through the lights and listen to sounds of the season, soaking in the sparkling atmosphere and cool night air. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies are provided. After your ride, use your ticket to take one final drive through the lights in the warmth of your own car.
Special Admission Offers
• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: Military personnel and first responders receive half off admission with a valid ID.
• December 26th: Agricultural Society members and educators get $2 off admission with a valid ID.
• December 27th: On our final night, enjoy a $5 discount with a non-perishable food donation. All items will be donated to St. Paul's Ev Lutheran Church of Prospect- Food Pantry.
